The 40's

The vague and in the main unimportant ramblings of a near-40 year old in the middle(?) of his normal life, with his normal family, normal job and hopefully normal thoughts, hopes and fears. Amuse yourself for a few minutes as you're passing thru the web by catching a glimpse of my journey from 'Tough and Ruthless' to 'Rough and Toothless'

Didn't want you to worry...

Would have done this sooner, but we've been phoning friends and family who still live on London and commute daily; They are all OK. A major relief to us here ( We moved out of London in '89 )

Still watching news feeds - the efforts have now gone from 'rescue' to 'recovery'; and our emergency services are all doing a superb job.

After all these years of different terrorist organisations bombing soft targets in countries around the world, do the terrorists really think this will finally have an effect on us?

Do they think the two ladies in the picture, or the victims families, are suddenly going to be shaken into empathy with their cause?

That's a relief you guys are fine. I was trying to write earlier and our connection has been bad.
I just don't understand the people who did this. It's exactly like you said, are we all going to finally get it? For one thing, they are the ones doing the attacking. It seems to me that they are only "happy" when someone fights back then, they can say AH HA! You are fighting us, now it is the will of god for us to fight you. They are the god bullies of the world. It's time we all move forward out of B.C. era. Sorry T for the rant.

Glad you and yours are well. Sorry this had to happen to you guys as well. I posted about this today as well. Similar photos.

Is it me or does terrorism seem to follow rudy guliani?

Stay safe.

PG you know you are always welcome to rant, sound off, disagree or just sit on the fence, whenever you like. The only rule is 'wipe you feet before you come in'. No, wait, it might be 'leave your egos at the door'. Or is it 'never fart on a first date'?

I would think that Rudy probably has a pang of paranoia about now...

Saw your post Lauren, and some great comments too - you have some cool people 'play at your house'!

poor baby...terrorism sucks. I hate bombs and suicide bombers.

why can't they all just have a cup of tea or coffee and chill the heck out?
